CODE OF CONDUCT
INTRODUCTION:
At the Jinnah Polytechnic Institute (JPI), we are committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning
environment. The Management expects all students, including new joining students, to adhere to a set of guidelines
and standards to promote a positive educational experience for everyone.
SECTION 1: CLASSROOM ETIQUETTE
1.1. Punctuality: Arrive on time for classes and other academic activities.
1.2. Participation: Contribute positively to classroom and group discussions to acquire proficiency in Knowledge-Skills-Attitude Actions as per the Logo of JPI.
1.3. Electronic Devices: Silent mobile phones and other electronic devices during Classes/ Lectures / Practicals / Guest
Lectures.
SECTION 2: ACADEMIC INTEGRITY
2.1. Academic Honesty: Submit only your original work, on given period and in proper manner.
2.2. Plagiarism: Do not plagiarize, and always cite your sources correctly.
2.3. Cheating: Do not engage in cheating on exams or assignments. Maintain academic honesty at all times.
SECTION 3: ETHICAL BEHAVIOR AND RESPECT FOR OTHERS
3.1. Respect for Diversity: Treat all individuals with respect and dignity, regardless of their race, ethnicity,
religion, gender, disability, or background.
3.2. Civility: Use respectful language and maintain a courteous demeanor in all interactions with Management,
faculty, staff, and fellow students.
3.3. Bullying and Harassment: Do not engage in any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination.
SECTION 4: CAMPUS AND FACILITIES
4.1. Respect for Property: Own and treat all institute’s property and facilities with care & respect.
4.2. Environmental Responsibility: Dispose of waste properly.
SECTION 5: PROHIBITION OF SMOKING AND OTHER HARMFUL EDIBLES
5.1. Smoking, Tobacco products and other harmful edibles (like; Gutka, Paan, Chaliya, etc.) are strictly prohibited on
campus for the discipline, ethics, health and well-being of all.
SECTION 6: CONSEQUENCES FOR VIOLATIONS
6.1. Investigation: Violations of this code of conduct will be investigated by the appropriate authorities.
6.2. Consequences: Consequences for violations may include Fines, Warnings, Suspension, or Expulsion,
depending on the severity of the misconduct or offense after calling concerned students and their parents before
the disciplinary committee of the Institute.
SECTION 7: REPORTING VIOLATIONS
7.1. If any student witnesses or experiences a violation of this code of conduct, please report it to the Academic
Coordinator or Vice-Principal or Principal/Executive Director of Jinnah Polytechnic Institute in a proper manner.
SECTION 8: REPORTING COMPLAINTS/ SUGGESTIONS
8.1. Any student who desires to submit a complaint/suggestion must approach the complaint/ suggestion box available
near the main gate.
